Today is going to be a wee bit busy. Customer meetings all day, and then rushing off to the Wednesday meditation evening, and it's my turn to be the taxi.
So I've started the day with a quick 10 minute art break.
The fairy image is from Stampotique / Jo Capper-Sandon, with a quick bit of sketching thrown in.
Depending how the meetings go I may add more to it, or just leave it nice and simple.
Off to a great start! I love the idea of chipping away at the project bit by bit. It will probably evolve very differently than if you just completed it in one sitting.
ReplyDeleteShe has a long wait...but actually it's not really long until Spring!
ReplyDeleteI like simple, but if you colour this she will still be lovely!
Nice one and quick. Quick, can still produce good stuff:) Stamps always look best with a sketch thrown in:)

Okay, first of all I have to laugh at you stating you will be "rushing off to the Wednesday meditation evening". The irony in that is much to much for me to ignore, lol. I like the quick sketches. Sometimes they prove to be the most in touch.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day and remember to slow down or you will miss it! ;-)

Very clever how you used the stamp and added drawing to it! I never would have know if you hadn't shared!
ReplyDeleteYes, as Dawn says slow down; you have been so busy lately. You don't want to end up meditating quickly:)

Sometimes keeping it simple is the only way. Have a great time at the meditation evening. Amanda
ReplyDeleteI hope the meditation helped to ground and calm you after a hectic day. Sometimes, there are just never enough hours in the day to achieve all what we want...better to just go with the flow.
ReplyDeleteLovely sketch, Nigel!
Nice and simple. I'm waiting for Spring too. :)
ReplyDeletelove the idea of rushing off to meditation... hope it was restful for you and that it brings you a creative day xx
ReplyDeleteHahaha at Tracey's comment. This is really cute, 10 mins well spent. Hope all your meetings were productive x
