Another WIP.
Last night I mentioned that I play games
Apart from Space-sims, I love D&D, quizzes, puzzles and anything that makes me think;
rather than twitch games which tend to rely on reflexes more than anything else
(I'm a bit long in the tooth for that).
This is another journal page, and it started off as a selection of scraps from various gaming sessions and quizzes; pasted down and covered in paint.
Heheheh, me too!! Oh how I love puzzle games or even just scrabble. I find it hard to find games on the computer that keep my interest though, that's why I read mysteries, lol. It's a long way to go for that thrill of figuring out who done it, where a puzzle is so much more immediate but then I haven't found the perfect puzzle game yet so books it is!! Visiting from AEDM. That dragon is COOL. :o)
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of D&D, but haven't played it in several years. I certainly enjoy this mixed media journal entry. It was fun to see how your mind works and of course, to see this great art.
ReplyDeleteClever piece that reflects who you are!!
ReplyDeleteI like gaming, strategic ones or adventure, NOT shooters or anything. I also like the feel of your piece, the colors and, of course, the dragon. Visiting from AEDM.
ReplyDeleteHi there Nigel! So glad to see your name pop up in my comments today - I'm glad you're back and painting man! I read your last blogposts and I noticed you were inspired by song lyrics.. I hope to welcome you in this years 'Top 2000 blog party' then - I would be honered if you created/submitted at least one piece of art (this 'party' is the last week of the year, here's last year's announcement if you don't know what it is http://www.maritspaperworld.com/blog/top-2000-ten-days-from-now/
ReplyDeleteNow about your paintings: I LOVE the symbolism the pieces show. The colours add to the sphere (is that the right word?) and they really speak to me. I am especially in ooh and aaw over the 'moon' piece (former post) You may know that I am a 'word-person' too, and I think your poems are gorgeous as well. Keep on rockin' boy, I'll be cheering from the Netherlands! Love, Marit
