This is my entry for this week's Play Date challenge.
It's inspired by a comment I made on this post by Sue Roddis, and an email I received from her about liking worms lol.
Perceived wisdom is that "opening a can of worms" comes from anglers. Once they had opened a can of bait (worms) it wasn't easy to get it closed again :)
Of course it wasn't, life wasn't meant to be that easy!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for sharing where that phrase comes from! You've managed to do a great job with our colors on your wormy art. ;) THanks for playing with us at the Cafe, Nigel!
ReplyDeleteLove it!! This would be perfect for those 'hard to create for' occasions like...sorry my big mouth opened up the can of worms...or is that just me that does that??? lol
ReplyDeleteLOL love it, took me back to being little and a song my Nana used to sing about digging worms in the garden with Fred. Fab. Hugs Elizabeth x
ReplyDeleteLOL fun and lively topic ;)
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite memories is one of our boys gently holding a worm in the palm of his hand...his face indicated he was not quite sure of things ... after I said "isn't it beautiful" ... he seemed more comfortable
all of our boys were nature boys!

Ain't that the truth!!! Let all those wormies get away and you'll never get them back. Ha. Love your unique twist on this week's challenge - thanks so much for consistently playing along at The PDCC.
