Got there in the end

This is my entry for this week's Play Date Cafe challenge, and to be honest I've struggled to put something together. Eventually this afternoon I managed to find some papers that matched the challenge palette, picked a stamp at random and went from there.
I'm still not sure about the finished result, but I know that if I don't leave it alone I'll make it worse, not better.

Stamps used are:
Puccini's Muse by Stampington,
Ginkgo by Inkadinkadoo
Kanji poem by Hero Arts.

  1. She's perfect just the way she is, she must have been your Muse when you created this :) Even if you are being a bit harsh on yourself - but that's a good sign beccause that's a typical behaviour for every talented artist lol ;))) x

    Ps. I haven't got a favourite one as I don't fly anymore ;D

  11. It is really nice, don't be hard on yourself.
I like simple stamping in black...gives welcome simplicity and the stamps you have used 'so' complement each other. The tearing adds a bit of shabbiness to a formal Madam Butterfly and therfore more brilliant complementation, (if that is not a word, it should be and I have just invented it).
Any way, its beautiful; I think you have used the colours to perfection!!

  14. That's neat, Nigel. I could tell the stamps must be by Stampington (don't own any yet, but they are so cool!), and then checked your details. Sure enough, they are! It is a fresh take on our colors this week. So glad you played with us at The Cafe. :)
