Is it chained to prevent anybody hurting it?
Is it dangerous?
Or is there another reason?
I'll leave it to you to decide.
Shadow box by Twiddleybitz, papers by Graphics45 & 7 Gypsies. Heart sewn and stuffed by me (that's why it's a bit of an odd shape).
This is my entry for the latest
Play date Cafe challenge.
And finally, A happy new year to one and all - may it bring you love, laughter and happiness.
It may be chained, but for whatever reason at least there is a key!!
ReplyDeleteThe heart looks good to me; you can't be too imperfect for my liking. I reckon hearts are all slightly different shapes anyway.
This heart has probably been hurt,(emotionally) in the past and has decided to hide behind chains and will only hand the key over to someone who is brave enough to enter the shadows to release it.
I hope this year brings you all good things; happy New Year, Nigel.
I also like your previous posting.

Very very different Nigel. Like it!
ReplyDeleteHappy new year to you too! Its going to be a good one!
Wonderful shadow box, creative use of this weeks PDCC colors. The added stuffed heart looks fab with your added chains and key! Wishing you a creative 2011!
ReplyDeleteHi Nigel, that´s really crafty and creative, love it! Happy new year to you as well.
ReplyDeleteLovely piece of work, Nigel-it may be chained to reign in its enthusiasm-beware when it is set free!!

Love this piece Nigel, I love hearts and I love the addition of the chains, very creative. Happy New Year, Tracy x
ReplyDeleteI really like this one Nigel. Your crafts are always so well put together.
ReplyDeleteWhen I clicked on your piece I immediately broke out in song "chain chain chain . . .chain of fools" by Aretha Franklin for some reason *smiles*. LOVE your latest creation Nigel.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year to you!
Whatever it is Nigel ... it is also rather lovely! Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteNigel, your creations are always so interesting and more of a work of art than anything else! LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteOh this is such a great piece Nigel. Very creative and meaningful. I see you're also handy with a needle! Hugs xx
ReplyDeleteNigel, that's so cool. I love that idea.
ReplyDeleteI don't think that the heart is dangerous. It's nestled in there with care and protected well. There lies near it a key and I image that the lock is not too far away, but it's not always easy to find it.
Excellent! I love the peculiar heart shape. Makes it look very contemporary. Brilliant idea. Px
ReplyDeleteOh Nigel. Your work is amazing!
ReplyDeleteA shadow box has been on my 'wish list of things to do' for quite a while now but as yet not got round to getting on and doing.

Very creative card! Just love that big red heart! Happy New Year!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. This is truly inspired. I think your heart is perfect - lopsided, a few stitches exposed, and stuffed by loving hands ... isn't that the way hearts are suppose to be? Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThis is very classy and creative, Nigel - love it. Happy new year x
ReplyDeleteI think it's fab, Nigel.
ReplyDeleteHope 2011's a great on for you.

Absolutely striking design! I am speachless... so full of mistery and so beautifully made..;) Well done my friend!
ReplyDeleteAnd warmest happy new year wishes! x
THIS is Fabulous! Roght up my street, I love the composition.
ReplyDeleteI think it's being fiercely guarded as it's been damaged in the past (hence the "bit of an odd shape"). It's not going to give up that key again very easily.
ReplyDeleteI love it.
