Mantra

The latest challenge over at 4x4 Friday is "Mantra". A Mantra is a sound, syllable, word or group of words that are considered capable of "creating transformation".

"No worries" is a phrase that's considered part of the Australian language, and is even referred to as the National Motto of Australia. Now, I've never been to Aus (maybe one day) but it's something I use all the time - no idea why, but it's a good mantra to live by.

So, if your challenge doesn't come out right, just say to yourself - "No worries" ;)

  4. Great entry, Nigel. I like the "Follow your dreams" medal hanging by the ribbon on the side. "No worries" is such a great mantra, and a most difficult one to live up to. You've illustrated it beautifully. I like the colors you chose!

  6. The only digital piece is the wording. The paper (Crafty Individuals) was scanned & cropped to the top right corner. The wording was added using Word, and then printed out and pasted on (you can just make out the join in a couple of places - if you're looking for it)

  7. A fabulous work of art Nigel ♥
Love the colours and all the detail :)
'No worries' is a fav saying of mine too...generally if you find you need to say it...there's little you can do about the situation anyway! :)
Take care, have a fab week x

  9. Such uplifting choice of colors and upbeat mantra - "No worries" is also something we're hear quite often throughout our various trips through Canada. Wonder if we'll hear it out in Newfoundland this summer? At any rate, thank you for sharing your gorgeous art. And I have the Raven Circle Journal info posted on the 4x4 blog. :)
