Nigel, this is truly amazing. I am guessing this is a watercolour painting done by you. It is a beautiful composition with a stunning star of the show and it perfectly conjures up a frosty night, typical of the time of year and reminds me of what wakes me up so often lately. I love owls, I even love being woken up by them...

Sue, it's mostly Distress inks applied with sponge, although the finer detail was added by brush and pencil. The branch is a piece of scrap veneer from Bentley.
I can see that we're on the same path with the distress inks. They are great, aren't they? I have to say that your kind comments on my drawing attempts mean even more to me now I've seen your work. Thank you.
